Limiting sugar to prevent addiction
Which foods have the largest amounts of added sugars? According to an article in today’s Wall St. Journal, Sweet Surrender: Sugar Curbs Urged, “In a scientific statement issued Aug.24, 2009, the American Heart Association says most women should limit their sugar intake to 100 calories, or about six teaspoons, a day.
For men, the recommendation is 150 calories, or nine teaspoons.”
