My husband and I also found great success in using the same CSAT for our recoveries, and I also highly recommend a CSAT for the partner. We both had individual counselling for several sessions before doing any couple/marriage sessions, and then still continued separately as well. Neither of us found any conflict whatsoever in seeing the same therapist, and in actuality found it very beneficial. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Not sure if you are looking for a book for the sex addict or the partner. The book Bill mentions, Out of the Shadows, was the first book that our CSAT counsellor recommended my husband, the addict, read. It was a powerful read for him. As for me, the partner, our counsellor told me NOT to read this book early in my recovery. Instead, I was directed to Mending a Shattered Heart by Stefanie Carnes which was an excellent first choice for the partner.
